THE pain of mourning Losing a child is something that is unimaginable, and for a mother this feeling is doubled. Rhiannon Lucas lost both children at the same time in a accident caused by a driver that was drunk and drugged.

The driver of the car crashed into the family's vehicle and took the lives of little Gracie-Ann Lucas, 4 years old, and Jyden-Lee Lucas, 3 years old. Now, years after this pain that plagues all relatives, the woman receives the best news she could have.

In February of this year, the young woman and her husband were with their children on a road when they were hit by a van. The mother was seriously injured and, unfortunately, the two children died shortly after.

During the trial of the driver, named Martin Newmann, it was found and concluded that he was drunk and under the influence of drugs when the collision occurred. The man, who confessed at trial that he had consumed alcohol, was sentenced to nine years and four months in prison.

Rhiannon Lucas said she is pregnant once again and, to make this moment even more exciting, the child is expected to come into the world on the same day as the birthday of her daughter who lost her life in the tragic accident.

After this tragedy, which devastated the entire family, the woman and her partner, the stepfather of the dead children, announced that they are expecting a child. “We will never forget Jayden and Gracie, but we don’t have to have sad moments all the time, we have happy memories to look back on,” said the boy, emphasizing that pregnancy helps maintain the couple's sanity.
